The Sean O'mahony's senior team were defeated by 4 points by Cooley Kickhams on Sunday evening on the Point road after a very entertaining game, which they dominated for the first 40 minutes but ultimately was decided by 2 second half Cooley goals. The home side led by double scores at the break, 8 points to 4, with Stephen Fisher, Terry Kelly, Ben McLaughlin and Jonathon Connolly all raising the white flag once each from play. On the resumption Kyle Carroll kicked 2 wonderful early scores from play but Stephen Kilcoyne's fourth point from a dead ball and a fine Eddie Maguire free off the turf, was the only 4 scores that the lads from the Quay could muster in the second half while 2 goals in the last 15 minutes won the game for Kickhams.
