The Sean O'Mahony's second played out an entertaining draw with Roche Emmets out in Roche, in the glorious sun on Tuesday evening, a contest in which the sides drew level 6 times and the lead changed hands 5 times. The energetic Sean Murphy plundered 3 well taken points in the first half, all from play, raiding up from right half back and showing great composure each time. A fine Conor mackin point and a Sean Mathews free left the sides level at first water-break on 5 points apiece. Kyle Carroll then kicked a long range point before Roche took the lead again with 3 white flags in a row, before Conor Mackin finished low into the corner of the net after some clever approach play, to leave the Quay side one up at the changeover. Conor Mackin started the second half with a high pointed effort, before Conor McGailey landed a free. Roche pulled a fine goal back, but Robbie Clarke drove over a brilliant long range shot from close to the 45, to equalise just before the second water-break. On resumption, substitute Lee Byrne finished to the net from a tight angle after Conor Mackin had headed straight for goal when gaining possession out on the wing. However Roche then suddenly came to life and kicked 5 points in the final quarter while a Mark Agnew point was the only response, to leave O'Mahony's trailing by the minimum in stoppage time. However when Conor Mackin snatched a poor kickout, he fed David Redmond all alone on the 21, right in front of the goal, however David's goalbound shot was tipped over the bar for a last gasp equalizer to earn his side a share of the spoils.
